Skipper Innovations operates ChartRoom and its Google connection app, Chartroom YouTube Analytics. This notice covers the YouTube data you authorize us to access for private client reporting.
What we access and why
ChartRoom uses YouTube API Services. With your consent, we read channel and video information, including identifiers and titles, and performance data such as views, watch time, likes, shares, and subscriber changes. We use this information to prepare and maintain your channel's reports, compare reporting periods, and troubleshoot the connection.
We request only read-only YouTube and YouTube Analytics permissions. We do not receive your Google password or permission to upload, delete, comment, or change channel settings. This connection does not access Gmail or Drive.
Storage and access
Connection credentials and reporting data are held in access-restricted systems operated by Skipper Innovations, including our reporting server and administrative workstations. Reporting data may be stored in databases, source-data files, and report exports. Credentials are kept separately from public website files and are not included in reports.
Access is limited to authorized operators and the client users or report recipients approved for that client's reporting. Hosting and security providers, including DigitalOcean and Cloudflare, process data as needed to operate and protect the service. Private reports are not published on this public website.
Sharing and assisted report preparation
We use connected data only to provide and support the reporting you request. If you request a report in another service, the relevant report data is shared with that service and the recipients you approve. At your direction, limited reporting data may be processed by OpenAI tools to help prepare or explain your report. We do not use connected YouTube data to train a general AI model, sell it, or use it for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
We retain authorized analytics history only while needed for your reporting and while your authorization remains valid. Continued authorization must be checked at least every 30 days. Other stored YouTube information must be refreshed or deleted within 30 days. Copies and backups must follow the same applicable deletion requirements; they are not a permanent archive of disconnected channel data.
Email jason@skipperinnovations.com to disconnect or delete stored YouTube data. Include the channel name or URL, but never send passwords or access tokens. We may verify that you are authorized to make the request. We delete the associated stored data as soon as possible and within seven calendar days of a deletion request or a disconnection requested through us.
Revoke Google access
You can also remove Chartroom YouTube Analytics from your Google account permissions at any time. This stops future authorized access. We check continued authorization and remove associated stored data as soon as possible and within 30 calendar days of revocation through Google. Email us if you want the seven-day deletion process above. Deleting our copies does not delete your channel, videos, or data held by YouTube. Copies already delivered to your chosen recipients are also subject to those recipients' control.
Website visits and other services
Website hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs. The Skipper Innovations website privacy policy explains website cookies and other website features. Its general advertising provisions do not apply to connected YouTube data. No YouTube player or Google authorization runs merely because you visit this information page.
See the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service for Google's services. Material changes to this notice will be reflected in the effective date above; any new access requires appropriate consent.
