WordPress Basics & Backend Setup
Okay, let’s get started! We have our Domain Name, and we have installed WordPress on our Server… NOW we can start building that amazing website. In this video, we will begin that process.
Basic Overview of WordPress
Log in and create a username and password… DO NOT forget these!
If and when you log out, you can log in once again by going to https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin
and logging in from there.
Plugins
- Activate all installed plugins:
- mp-stacks from mintplugins.com:
- Downloads are from GitHub.
- mp-stacks from mintplugins.com:
- Install Extras (Church Theme Content):
- Update any necessary plugins.
- Install Other Needed Plugins:
- Current Year and Copyright Shortcodes.
- Encrypt Email.
- EWWW Image Optimizer.
- NOTE: If you want to put your website in maintenance mode so no one else can see it until it’s finished, download, activate, and configure the “Maintenance” plugin by “fruitfulcode.” You can find it in the Add Plugins menu.

- Activate the Knapstack Theme.
