Setting Up Social Media
In this lesson, we’ll walk through setting up your church’s Facebook Page, Twitter account, and Instagram account. You’ll also learn how to connect these platforms and develop an effective social media strategy.
- Go to Facebook.
- Create an account if you don’t already have one.
- Create a Page:
- Add a profile and cover image.
- Fill in all required and optional information (Facebook prioritizes complete profiles).
- Invite your community to like your new page.
- Strategies for advertising and groups will be covered in later videos.
- Go to Twitter.
- Create a new account for your church.
- Connect to Facebook:
- Open Twitter’s Settings menu and navigate to the Apps tab.
- Click Connect to Facebook and follow the prompts.
- Go to Instagram.
- Create a new church account. Do not log in with Facebook if it’s tied to your personal account.
Once these accounts are set up, you’ll be ready to build an interconnected social media presence that amplifies your church’s message.
